New guides to the birds and mammals of Vietnam
A Field Guide to the Birds of South-East Asia by Craig Robson
This fully updated second edition of Craig Robson’s award-winning “A Field Guide to the Birds of South-East Asia” includes more than 20 new species for the region which are recent discoveries, taxonomic 'splits' or have been recorded since the first edition came out in 2000. There are many new artworks and 16 more colour plates than the original edition, meaning fewer species per plate and therefore larger images of each species. The text has been meticulously updated to take in the latest information on each species. This indispensable guide covers the identification, voice, breeding, status, habitat and distribution of all the species and distinctive subspecies found in Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Myanmar, Peninsular Malaysia and Singapore. Along with your binoculars this guide is the most essential item to pack for your Vietnam birding trip.

A Photographic Guide to Birds of Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos by Peter Davidson
Two hundred and fifty-two of the most interesting and spectacular birds to be found in Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos are featured in this concise and easy-to-use guide. Each species is illustrated with a colour photograph and key information on ID, habitat and distribution. As Pete Davidson writes in his forward “A Photographic Guide to Birds of Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos” is not meant to be a comprehensive field guide but it is a very useful little book to have in your backpack along with your copy of Craig Robson’s field guide.

Field Guide to the Large Mammals of Vietnam by John W. K. Parr & Hoang Xuan Thuy
